There are a number of risks associated with working remotely but I have some helpful tips on how you can adopt safer practices with your teams when working remotely.
Tip #1 – Ensure you update your software as soon as possible and install a strong antivirus malware on all of your systems
Tip #2 – Home routers are often set-up using a very simple password such as ‘admin’. Ensure you go into your router and update this to a strong password. Listen to my video above for more info and tips on routers.
Tip #3 – Try and make sure that you’ve got multi-factor authentication set up for your work devices so that you can’t just log on without going through a second authentication process whether it’s a text message authenticator app.
Finally, have regular conversations with your teams to make sure that everybody in the team is responsible and knows their duties.
Your clients place a huge amount of trust in you to protect their data and by taking these basic steps and you can feel a lot better about your staff & teammates working remotely.
